In Aubrey, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Aubrey is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Aubrey is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Amazing place. A huge selection of great looking plants shrubs and trees. We bought over 30 shrubs and all looked great. Delivery available to Lake Kiowa at a reasonable price. Very knowledgeable experts, family owned. Nice folks! Highly recommended!

Update 5/7/23... Still love shopping at this nursery. However, I am quickly learning to be extremely selective about the shrubs that I choose because they do not offer a warranty for any of their plants. Recently purchased an Althea shrub and it was not rooted at all. Turned the pot upside down to remove it for planting and the soil completely crumbled, leaving a long twig with a few roots. Appears to be in stock and has started to yellow. It already had some yellow leaves at purchase but I just figured it would be ok once in the ground. Just hope it hangs in there and establishes some strong and healthy roots. Otherwise, $30 is an expensive lesson learned. I always leave with something that I really don't need but must have. There is always a good selection of flowering shrubs and perennials. Of course, there is no shortage of annuals and shade garden options. The prices are fair and, in most cases, lower than nearby nurseries for 3 gal shrubs. The staff is super friendly and helpful. You are free to roam around, and the staff are nearby to check on you and answer questions.

Our family had the best experience with O’Dell Nursery this week. Our salesman, Devin, made the whole process as painless as possible. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions, and gave helpful advice. The installation was so smooth. The crew leader kept us updated throughout the day. He went ABOVE the call of duty to protect our yard and other existing foliage around the property. The team worked hard and efficiently to get completed as fast and safely las possible. We are so happy with the quality of the trees and the installation. We HIGHLY recommend O’Dells for large or small jobs. They made us feel like family. We love supporting local businesses when possible and they made it really easy for us to do it. We will be return customers.

O'Dell's is a beautiful nursey, ever expanding in the products they carry, and the quality is exceptional. Over the last couple of years have purchased magnolia trees, rose bushes, plants for potting, rose moss, veggies, fruits, etc... Highly recommend this nursey! The owners are wonderful and sincerely want to help you fulfill your nursery needs. Go see them...and enjoy!

This place has expanded and their selection and inventory is much greater than when we visited about 2 yrs ago. They have really cute metal sculptures and windmills. Lots of trees, bushes, and other places. Found some strawberry plants to take home.
